Former secretary to government, Maijama’a, Bashir bag traditional titles in Bauchi emirate

The Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Suleimanu Adamu has appointed a one-time Secretary to the Bauchi State Government Alhaji Mahmood Maijama’a Ajiya as Dallatun Bauchi and Bashir Yakubu Lame as Dujima of Bauchi members of the Bauchi Emirate Council.
Maijama’a succeeded his elder brother late Dallatun Bauchi Alhaji Sanusi Maijama’a Ajiya who died last December while Bashir is the First Dujima of Bauchi.
Secretary to the Bauchi Emirate, Shehu M. Jika in a letter of appointment sent to Maijama,a and made available to reporters, said the emir and members of the emirate council appointed him as Dallatun Bauchi because of his exemplary character and leadership qualities he is exhibiting and his contributions towards the development of the emirate State and the country at large.
The Acting Secretary of the Emirate, Nasiru Musa Maidala via a letter sent to Bashir said he was appointed based on merit as a result of his loyalty, humility and simplicity and contributions to the development of the emirate.
The letters advised them to continue with their effort towards the improvement of the living standard of the common man and the society in general.
When contacted Maijama’a and Bashir confirmed the development and said they had accepted their appointments with honor and respect to the emir and pledged their continued loyalty to the emirate.
They thanked the State Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir and the Emir of Bauchi and members of the emirate council for finding them worthy for their well-deserved appointment.
