Former VP Sambo, Defence Minister Badaru pay condolence visit to Governor Radda over mother’s demise

A former Nigerian Vice President Namadi Sambo has paid a condolence visit to Governor Dikko Umaru Radda on the passing of his mother, Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Baribari.
In his remarks, Sambo said, “This is not just your personal loss, but a loss to all of Katsina State and Nigeria –for she was a mother to the nation.”
This was contained in a statement by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Katsina State.
Former Vice President Sambo also prayed for continued success of Governor Radda in securing peace in Katsina, the Northwest and across Nigeria.
“Your efforts in security reforms and training new personnel are commendable. I discussed with the Honourable Minister or Defence about these initiatives that promise sustainable peace for national development,” Sambo acknowledged.
Speaking on behalf of the Nigerian Ministry of Defence personnel, Hon. Badaru Mohammed expressed deepest condolences to Governor Radda.
Mohammed stressed the collective nature of the grief, stating, “This is not just your personal loss, but our collective loss. We mourn with you, your family, and all the people of Katsina State.”
The Minister added, “When we speak of Katsina, we include our brothers in Kano and Jigawa –for we are truly inseparable in both joy and sorrow.”
Minister Badaru further thanked Allah for the late Hajiya Safara’u blessed life, her legacy and the honour to have a leader like Governor Radda who’ll continue her good works.
Katsina State Deputy Governor, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, on behalf of the State Governor, expressed appreciation to the distinguished guests. He described the presence as a profound gesture of compassion and solidarity following the passing of beloved Hajiya Safara’u.
