Fuel attendants ignorant of petrol price reduction

As the Federal Government Wednesday, approved a the reduction in the pump price of petrol, most fuel attendants in Jos, Plateau State capital are ignorant of the development.
The government at its weekly Federal Executive Council meeting slashed pump price of Petrol from N145 per litre to N125 per litre with immediate effect.
However, with the NNPC reports complying with the directive, some independent marketers and even major marketers of the products are yet to comply.
Though, most motorists received the reduction with mixed feelings, complaints dominate the cut in the pump price, wondering how soon will they enjoy this price cut.
A motorist in a fuel station in Dadi Kowa area of Jos South local government, Mrs Martha Alang say that she bought the product for the old price as most fuel stations in Jos are yet to comply.
At a fuel station in Dadi kowa a pump attendant who did not want her name in print told our correspondent that she is yet to get a directive to start selling the product at the new rate.
Our correspondent also observed that transport fares have not reduced as a ride from old airport junction to Terminus market still remains N70 to N80.
