Ganye bye election: AIG monitoring team storm Adamawa, assures hitch-free election

Ahead of the scheduled Bye Election for Ganye Constituency Adamawa State House of Assembly, the AIG Monitoring Team has assured of a hitch-free poll.
This, the Adamawa State Police Command hosted Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Taiwo O. Adeleke, who is overseeing the election scheduled for Saturday, 16th August, 2025.

AIG Adeleke is accompanied by Commissioner of Police, Moses Ottah and ACP Husseini Yelwa, met with officers and men of the command to review operational strategies for a peaceful and credible poll.

He urged all personnel to remain professional, impartial, and civil when dealing with the general public, stressing the police’s constitutional responsibility to provide security before, during, and after the election.

In his earlier address, CP Dankombo Morris welcomed the AIG and briefed him on the Command’s readiness, including deployment plans and designed proactive measures taken to ensure the safety of electorates, INEC officials, and election materials.

The Adamawa State Police Command reassured residents of its unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property, and calls on the public to remain law-abiding, cooperate with security personnel, and promptly report any suspicious activity.
