Gboko INEC collation officer, Comfort Dooshima shot
The life of the collation officer for Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State in Saturday’s governorship supplementary polls shot by gunmen hangs in the balance.
The collation officer, Comfort Dooshima, a lecturer from University of Agriculture, Makurdi was shot at Abinsi of Guma Local Government Area near Makurdi, to present the re-run results at INEC headquarters.
Apex News gathered that she receiving treatment at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi.
Incumbent Governor Samuel Ortom was leading with 410,576 votes against APC’s Emmanuel Jime who polled 329,022 votes before the polls were declared inconclusive from the March 9, 2019 elections.
