A ghastly motor accident has claimed 4 lives while 7 others were variously injured and receiving treatment at the Trauma Center of the Specialists Hospital, Bauchi.
Information from the Bauchi State Sector Command of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) has it that the accident occurred at about 1500hours on Sunday along Bauchi – Kano road.
The report from the FRSC indicated that the crash involved two commercial vehicles, an Opel Vectra and Sharon mini bus coming from opposite direction before having a head on collision at Sabongari village.

It was further disclosed that 3 people died on the spot of the accident while another died at the hospital due to the degree of the injury from the accident.
Evacuation of the victims was done by a Special Marshall, Adamu Abubakar alongside other Regular Corps Marshall Rescue team who responded to the distress call immediately the accident occurred.
At the hospital, 3 people were confirmed to be stable including a male child who were treated and discharged to go home.
The possible cause of the accident according to the FRSC was over speeding and dangerous driving leading to the bursting of front tyre of Vectra making it to swerved to the other lane to meet the oncoming Sharon mini bus.
