Tula community elders with NNPP gubernatorial candidate, Mailantarki

The aspiration of the Gombe State gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Khamisu Mailantarki on Monday got a major boost as some elders from Tula community in Kaltungo local government area endorsed his candidature.
The elders led by a former Secretary of the local government, Mr Lazarus Lori (Turakin), Hon. J.U Labebe (Sardaunan DK Wange), and Elke Tasha (Sarkin Dajin Tula) who is also the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) made the endorsement when they paid a solidarity visit to the governorship candidate in his campaign office.
They explained that the decision to back the NNPP candidate was because he is the best alternative to the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration which they alleged has totally failed to redeem its campaign pledges almost four years gone.
According to them, Khamisu Mailantarki as a one-time member of the House Representatives, is fit to govern the state come 2023.
Lazarus Lori said that, “Honourable Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki is a man of integrity and has been tested and trusted in the past when he served as a member of the National Assembly” .
He added that, “That is why we are here today to express our support to him as the next governor because we believe he is a better alternative to the APC and PDP”.
Elke Tasha stressed that, the APC administration in the state is not sensitive to the well-being of the people of the state as it has not done anything in the last 3 years to improve on the welfare of the people.
He therefore said that the best to do is to vote the administration out in 2023 and bring in someone who knows the value and importance of the people and ready to do things that will benefit all.
While responding, the governorship candidate appreciated the community elders for the support and promised that if elected, he would run an all inclusive and community friendly government.
Khamisu Mailantarki said that he was not surprised by the endorsement because according to him, people of Gombe State are yearning for a better leadership, different from what they are witnessing presently.
He assured that if eventually elected as the next Governor of Gombe State, he will do things that the various communities want because they will be engaged before any project is sited.
