Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the constitution of the Board of Gombe State Media Corporation (GMC).
Members of the Board are: Mohammed Kabiru Abdullahi-Chairman while Kabiru Ibn Mohammed is the DG just as the Members are: Engr. Adam Hassan; Bappayo Tambari and Abdulbasid Mohammed Inuwa.
Others are : Ruqayya Hassan Burak; Ibrahim Jabiru Kuri; Umar Usman Kaltungo; Mrs Chala Victor; Garba Inuwa Akoma Gona; Musa Omo Difa12. Representative of the Ministry of Finance; Representative of Ministry of Information while Legal Adviser, GMC is the Secretary.
The Governor has also approved the appointment of Chairman and members of the Governing Council of the College of Education, Billiri with Dr. Maijama’a Kallamu as Chairman.
Members of the Council are: Prof. Michael Mamman Degri; Alh. Ibrahim Musa Maiyabe; Alh. Babagoro Maina Bello; College Provost; Deputy Provost 6. Mrs. Fatima Inuwa Darazo-College Representative; Mrs. Sammy Golly Gwandum-College Representative; Representative of the Ministry of Higher Education; Representative of the National Commission for Colleges of Education and Registrar who is the Secretary. Similarly, Governor Inuwa Yahaya has approved the appointment of Dr. Lawan Bala as Executive Secretary, Gombe State Hospitals Services Management Board.
All the appointments are with immediate effect except that of the DG GMC who’s appointment took effect from 9th January, 2021 as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General, (Press Affairs) Government House, Gombe.
