Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the constitution of Visitation Panels to Gombe State Higher Institutions of Learning.

The Secretary to the State Government,  Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi,  who conveyed the Governor’s approval,  announced the Panels’ membership as follows: 

Gombe State University has Barr. Achana Gayus as Chairman, while Prof. Mahmud Baba Gadam, (ATBU); Prof. Santaya Lerit Kela, (Fed. University Kashere); Prof. Abubakar Gidado Kumo (Unimaid); Prof. Nebath Tanglang, (NOUN); Alh. Daudu Umar Abdussalam, (Former SSG, Gombe State) and Dr. Babayo Sule, (Federal University Kashere) will serve as Members just as  Mohammed Usman Shanu, Director, General Duties, SSG’s Office work is the Secretary. 

For College of Nursing and Midwifery, Gombe, Dr. Muhammad Isa Umar is the Chairman just as Prof. Hamidu Umar Pindiga (Unimaid); Prof. Bala Shamaki (Unimaid); Dr. Danjuma Usman Kalba (State House Clinic); Mal. Aliyu Kamara, (Former Registrar GSU); Mrs. Maryamu Manjak, (Rtd. Nursing Officer) and Mal. Abdullahi Mohammed Yuguda, (Former Registrar GSU) are to serve as Members while Bala Sarki, Director, Special Services & Political, SSG’s Office is the Secretary. 

Also for College of Education, Billiri are

Prof. Mohammed Gurama, (Gombe State University) – Chairman; Prof. A.B. Alhassan, (Unimaid); Abdulhamid  Mohammed Doho, (Retired Perm. Sec.);  Prof. Salisu A. Rakum, (Federal University Kashere); Alh. Salihu Mohammed (Gallant), (Rtd. Inspector of Education); Mal. Abubakar Garba Yila, (Rtd. Educationist) and Dr. Chechera Azael  Members while Usman Baba Abubakar, Director, Cabinet Affairs, SSG’s Office  is the Secretary. 

Gombe State Polytechnic , Bajoga has Dr. Maijama’a Kallamu as Chairman, Prof. I.D. Moh’d (Unimaid); Prof. Namala K. Amuga (MAUTECH); Meshack Audu Lauco (Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda); Alh. Abba Sarkin Rakuma; Engr. Japhet Kọ́ni and Dr. Umar Adamu  (FUK) as Members while  Director, Special Duties, Ministry of Specials Duties serves as Secretary. 

College of Education & Legal Studies, Nafada has Prof. Sani Abba (ABU Zaria) as Chairman while Prof. Manjak Nipron (ATBU); Barr. Yahaya Galadima; Barr. Bala Ahmed (Rtd. Registrar Sharia Court of Appeal); Dr. Mohammed Saeed El-Nafaty; Dr. Felicia Misauno Samuel-Alewa (UniJos) and Ibrahim Kuna Biri (Former HOCS) are the Members while Mrs. Tabitha James, Director, Establishment, Office of  the  Head of Civil Service  – Secretary

For College of Health Science and Technology, Kaltungo, Prof. Caleb Kudi (ABU) will serve as  Chairman to be assisted by  Prof. Abubakar Mu’azu, (Unimaid); Comrd. Mohammed Musa , (Former NLC Chairman, Gombe State); Alh. Hussaini S. Abubakar (Kings), (Rtd. Exe. Dir. Inland Bank); Alh. Shuaibu Wakili (Rtd. Nursing Officer); Mr. K.B. Tula, (Rtd. Nursing Officer) and Alh. Mele Mamuda Deba as Members while Shuaibu Chiroma, Director, General Admin., Office of the Head of Civil Service  is be the Secretary. 

All the appointments, according to the SSG, are with immediate effect as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General, (Press Affairs), Government House, Gombe. 

Meanwhile, the Governor as approved the appointment of a Sole Administrator For the College Of Health Science And Technology, Kaltungo, he is Dr. Ahmed Wali Doho of the Federal University of Kashere. 

The appointment is following the expiration of the second term of Principal Officers of the College of Health Science and Technology Kaltungo on 10th June, 2023. 

The Secretary to the State Government,  Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi,  who conveyed the Governor’s approval, said the appointment of the new Sole Administrator is with immediate effect pending the engagement of a substantive Provost of the College.
