Special Adviser on Social Investment to Gombe State Governor, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, Hajiya Dijatu Bappa, has tendered her resignation from the services of the state Government.
The resignation letter is coming at a time when the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State is facing internal crisis ahead of the 2023 elections which has led to a mass exodus of its members to the opposition PDP and other political parties.
The letter which was addressed to the Governor and dated 1st February, 2022, said the resignation was with immediate effect.
Though Hajiya Dijatu did not state the reason for resigning from her position, she however, boldly told the Governor in the letter that she had terminated her services.
She wrote in the letter, “I write to inform you of my decision to terminate my service as Special Adviser to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Gombe State on Social Investment programme with effect from 1st February, 2022”.
When our correspondent probed further through a telephone call, she said, “It’s just the time for it. Everything has it’s time, whenever there is an inlet, there is am outlet. I decided to leave on my own and I remain grateful for being given the opportunity to serve”.
Part of the letter also reads: “Your Excellency Sir, I sincerely thank you for giving me this golden opportunity to serve under your able leadership, it is indeed a rare privilege to serve in that capacity”.
