Gombe Governor, Yahaya mourns Senator Aisha Al-Hassan, former Minister of Women Affairs

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa has commiserated with immediate family of former Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Senator Aisha Al-Hassan as well as Government and People of Taraba State over the death.
Inuwa Yahaya expressed grief over the demise of the former Minister who died on Friday in Cairo, Egypt at the age of 61.
In a message of condolence, the Governor described the late Aisha Al-Hassan, fondly called ‘Mama Taraba’ as a big loss not only to her home state, Taraba but to the north east and the nation in general.
He stated that, “In Aisha Al-hassan, the nation has lost one of its best and most courageous women in politics and governance. She had demonstrated uncommon doggedness, tenacity and a ‘can do’ spirit in the pursuit of her dreams which earned her national and international recognition and commendation”.
The Governor conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased ex-senator and her associates as well as the government and people of Tababa state over the great loss, praying Almighty Allah to grant her Aljannat Firdaus.
He urged the family to take the death as an act of Allah praying to Allah to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General, (Press Affairs), Government House.
