In his condolence message to the families of the bereaved, the Church members, the government and people of Gombe State, CG Muhammadu regretted the unfortunate incident.

According to the statement, the CG also emphasized that the Corps will embark on massive training and re-training programmes for all personnel irrespective of the cadre in line with best global practices.
They commended the bold initiative of the NSCDC leadership by sending a high-powered delegation from the headquarters headed by Deputy Commandant-General in-charge of crisis management, Dr. Emmanuel Adeoye, to visit and pay condolences to the government of Gombe State, the Church and the bereaved families and also reiterated on the need for the personnel to be cautious in dealing with the public.
