Key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe North Senatorial District of Gombe State have passed a unanimous vote of confidence on the State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya urging him to go ahead with the development agenda of the state.
The APC key stakeholders held an enlarged stakeholders meeting on Sunday in Kwami, Kwami LGA under the chairmanship of elder statesman, Ambassador Ibrahim Yarima Abdullahi, Sarkin Bai of Gombe, where they deliberated extensively on a wide range of issues around governance, security and progress of the state as well as the success, unity and progress of the party. In a communique issued at the end of the meeting, the stakeholders collectively resolved to strongly appreciate the giant and unprecedented developmental strides being witnessed in Gombe State under the able leadership Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in all facets of human endeavour in these challenging times and also commend his avowed commitment to the sustenance of the prevailing peace and security in our dear state.
The communique also contained that, “All members of our great party are proud to be associated with the successes of the APC-led administration under the exemplary leadership of Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in addressing the long-standing infrastructural deficits throughout the state, entrenching inclusive growth and development, and pursuing all-encompassing reforms in the public sector for improved service delivery”.
“We particularly note with great pride how His Excellency successfully and unprecedentedly put Gombe State on the global map by making our dear state the number one state in ease of doing business among the 36 states and the FCT”, they further resolved.
The stakeholders therefore In recognition of the tremendous achievements of the Governor in his two years of stewardship of the affairs of the state and particularly the gigantic projects in Gombe North senatorial district such as the establishment of the Teacher Resource Center at Kwami, Complete renovation and upgrading of the Specialist Hospital in Gombe, construction of the Malala-Zaune-Dukkuyel road in Dukku, upgrading of the General Hospital in Bajoga, the reconstruction of the bridge linking Dukku, Funakaye and Nafada LGAs amongst other numerous projects across all the wards, resolved to pass a unanimous vote of confidence on him and reiterated their commitment to continue to support him in his efforts to make Gombe State great.
They added that, “As leader of the Party, we have recognized the sincerity of His Excellency, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, to unite all members of our party, we unanimously resolved to support him by working assiduously to promote unity, stability and peace among all members of our great party and the state at large”.
“We are deeply concerned by the recent antics of some elements within our party and in the opposition to cause discord and rancour amongst members of our party and we hereby appeal to all our members to ignore the shenanigans of these merchants of trouble and remain steadfast in their commitment and loyalty to the party and government”, they appealed.
The stakeholders therefore stated that, “We assure all loyal members of our great party that His Excellency will continue to carry everyone along, as he has been doing for the past two years, as evidenced in the appointment of numerous sons and daughters of Gombe North into key positions in his administration”.
“Finally, while congratulating His Excellency and all members of our great party over the successful rancour-free ward congresses, we appeal to all our members to continue to demonstrate high levels of solidarity and unity during the upcoming local government, state congresses and national convention”, they concluded.
