Suspected gang rapists

Gombe State Police Command has arrested, Abdullahi Usman aged 28 years of Lambo village ; Husseini Alh Saleh aged 30 years of Lawanti village; Mohammadu Jibrin aged 34 years of Lambo village and Mohammed Adamu aged 25 years of Shultu village all of Akko LGA in Gombe State for the offence of criminal conspiracy and kidnapping gunning down Mohammadu Dotti aged 45 years of Shultu village also Akko LGA in the process.
According to the Command PPRO, ASP Mahid Mu’azu Abubakar, On the 23/06/2022 at about 0400hrs, a complaint was received by detectives of SCID, that one Alhaji Isah Maiduna aged 45 years of Dergo Kwambani village in Akko LGA Gombe State was kidnapped by unknown persons.
On receipt of the information the detectives in collaboration with Police operatives from Kashere outpost under Pindiga Division together with the hunters of Kashere division, trailed the kidnappers along the routes to their hideout and engaged them in a gun duel and succeeded in neutralizing one and arrested four suspects.
Due to the superior fire power of the security agents the kidnappers took to their heels and abandoned the victim who was rescued by the team.
Some of the exhibit recovered included 2 Bajaj motorcycles, bow and arrows, 3 cutlasses while the victim was rescued by the team and was taken to the Hospital for medical attention.
In the process, one of the suspects, Mohammad Dotti who was injured during the duel was confirmed dead by a medical doctor at specialist hospital Gombe.
The suspects have confessed to the crime while the case will soon be charged to court for prosecution.
Also, one Abdulmalik Abdulkadir aged 25 yreas of Doho village in Kwami LGA Gombe State was arrested for alleged raping of a minor.
The PPRO stated that, on the 22/06/2022 at about 2200hrs, a complaint was received through one Suleiman Tolba of Doho village that there was a rape case in the area.
Immediately, Police operatives from Kwami Division swung into action and arrested the suspect in connection to the case of rape who was said to have deceived a minor girl, one Hauwa’u Suleiman aged 6 years of the same address while she was coming back from islamiyya school, where the said suspect took her to a bush area and raped her.
Both victim and suspect were taken to the Specialist Hospital, Gombe where they were examined by a medical doctor for confirmation while investigation is ongoing. The Suspect has confessed to the crime and will soon be charged to court for prosecution.
In the same vein, the Command arrested Mohammed Abbas Adamu aged 18 years ; Usman Musa aged 26 years and
Abubakar Mamuda, alias ‘kura’ aged 42 years both of Hayin kwarin Misau for criminal conspiracy, criminal force, assault, causing hurt and attempt to commit AN offence to wit rape and gross indecency.
On 21/06/2022 at about 2100hrs one Joy Mathew ‘aged 25 years of the same address reported at Gona Division that the suspects conspired among themselves, armed with plank wood, rope and rubber belt, dragged her into their custodial facility at BCGA quarters Gombe, and gave her intoxicating substance and attempted to rape her and was assaulted and sustained injuries.
On receipt of the information, Police operatives from Gona Division swung into action and arrested the mentioned suspects and took the victim to Specialist Hospital for medical examination. Suspects confessed to have committed the offence while the case will be charged to court for prosecution.
The Command further arrested Mohammed Bayero Adamu aged 19 years of London Maidorawa area of Shamaki ward Gombe LGA for being in possession of counterfeit currency of US dollar notes
The Command PPRO stated that on the 25/06/2022 at about 1700hrs, a complaint was received through one Adamu Ibrahim of London Maidorawa that a suspected person was found in possession of counterfeit US dollar currency note, 45 pieces, of $100 note denomination.
On receipt of the complaint, Police detectives from Gombe Division swung into action and arrested the suspect and recovered the exhibit in connection to the crime.
During the course of investigation, the said suspect revealed that the counterfeit note belonged to one, alias Garke (FNU) who is still at large, case will be charged to court as effort is in place to arrest the fleeing suspect.
For being in possession of counterfeit currency notes of Nigerian Naira, the Command arrested Danladi Abdullahi aged 30 years of Jauro Musa Kumo and Bello Garba aged 20 years also of Jauro Musa Kumo in Akko LGA of the State.
On the 27/06/2022 at about 1100hrs, one Adamu Mohammed aged 22 years of Pantami Quarters, Gombe, reported at the SCID Gombe that two suspects, Danladi Abdullahi aged 30 years and Bello Garba aged 20yrs both of Jauro Musa kumo via Akko LGA Gombe State were found in possession of fake naira note N1000 denomination .
On receipt of the information, detectives from Anti Fraud SCID State headquarters Gombe arrested the suspects in possession of the fake Naira note currency.
Case is under investigation and will soon be charged to court for prosecution.
The Commissioner of Police, Ishola Babaita assured the citizens of Gombe State that the Police Command is committed to their security and that all criminal cases would transparently be investigated and charged to court to uphold the cause of justice and also to re-assure the members of the general public especially the citizens of Gombe State and visitors alike that the adequate security measures in collaboration with other security agencies has been put in place to ensure peaceful Eid-el kabir Sallah celebration.
