Gombe State Government has expressed its appreciation to the outgoing Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Gombe State Command, Samson Wabulari for his tremendous service to the Nation and Gombe State in particular.
Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi expressed the State Government position when he received the outgoing and the in coming Commandant of the NSCDC in his office late Monday.
Ibrahim Njodi while commending Samson Wabulari for a job well done, also tasked the in coming Commandant of the Command to redouble effort by coming up with new security strategies that would help in strengthening security of the State.
He described Samson Wabulari as a hard working officer who had contributed greatly to the peace and security of the State and therefore wish him well in retirement.
The SSG assured the newly posted Commandant of the NSCDC of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s cordial working relationship adding that, as a Government, “our determinations and commitment is always towards maitainance of peace and security”.
He called on officers and men of the NSCDC State Command to be up and doing in the discharge of their civil responsibilities.
Earlier speaking, the outgoing Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) Mr. Samson Wabulari said that he was at the Government House to officially introduce the newly posted Commandant following his retirement from active service.
He appreciated the Government and people of Gombe State as well as men of the Command for their cooperation and support and enjoin them to extend same to his predecessor whom he equally described as one of the dedicated commandant of the Agency.
In his comment, the newly posted Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NCDC) Gombe State Command, Waziri Babagini thanked the State Government for giving the Command all the necessary support and assured of his commitment to serve.
Waziri Babagini further said that on arrival he noticed that, “Gombe has the best command in terms of office accommodation and facilities.
According to him, “I have visited several Commands in this Country and Gombe Command happens to be the best I have ever seen, we are most appreciative to the Gombe State Government.”
The Permanent Secretary Security Services and Political, Mohammed A. Umar and other Government officials were in attendance during the visit.
