Governor Fintiri tired of describing Adamawa civil service state- Wadaragwo, DG wealth creation agency

The Director General, Adamawa State Poverty and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA) Dr Michael Zira Wadaragwo has said Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has decried that Adamawa is not a civil service state.

Dr Zira revealed this in an interview in his office in Yola.

He said that it is enough that Adamawa state should remain a civil service state came coming up with skill acquisition program to encourage the women doing petty businesses to be self reliance in future.

Accordingly to Zira, PAWECA is Government agency initiated to train Adamawa citizens to be self reliant through Technical Training Centers spread across the state, to trained youth in different professions like mechanical, solar panel production, tailoring, hair dressing, etc.

He said 10,000 students have been trained as government cannot employ all its citizens.

He said they are preparing for the next batch distribution of Fintiri Business Wallet of N5,000 to be shared to 40,000 petty businesses women and youths by June.

Recalling that last year, about N2 bilion was shared to 40,000-50,000 citizens though the agency to encourage the people at the point of their business to start small or petty businesses as big business owners are not entitled.
