A formidable team of combined armed security was being put together for the task was necessitated by the menace of armed banditry in most of the northern states.
Governor Idris is optimistic based on his foresight on the economic values of the project and his resilience of fast-tracting the state socio-economic growth, considering the various components of the super highway project.
As contained in the comprehensive design of the project, a number of dams will be constructed for irrigation farming communities, provision of solar powered streetlight, CCTV cameras and recreational centres along the corridors.
Other advantages associated with the project noted by Comrade Governor Nasir Idris included interstate and international social and profitable businesses with the potentiality of improving the well-being of the people of Kebbi State.
Within the same week, Governor Idris has granted approval of N10 billion loan for 1,300 intending pilgrims out of the 3,300 to pay for Hajj seats, allowing them to dispose of farm produce at profitable prices.
The 1,300 intending pilgrims who could not make the payment before the expiration of the deadline given by the National Hajj Commission will now save their goods from being sold at giveaway prices and realise enough funds to repay the loan to the state government.
