Governor Mohammed urges against marginalizing Bauchi people seeking appointment into federal service

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has appealed to the Federal Character Commission not marginalize the people of Bauchi seeking appointment into federal ministries, departments, and agencies.

The governor made the statement in Bauchi when a delegation from the Federal Character Commission led by its executive Chairman Dr. Muhibbah Dan Kaka, paid him a courtesy visit.

Governor Mohammed emphasized the importance of equity and justice in federal appointments, stressing that Bauchi State should be adequately represented at the federal level.

He stressed the need for the Commission to uphold its mandate of promoting balanced representation among states and fostering inclusivity across federal agencies.

He noted that Bauchi, like other states, has qualified and capable individuals who can effectively serve the nation if given the required opportunity.

According to him, “fairness and equitable representation in federal appointments would not only enhance unity but also foster a sense of belonging among citizens from all regions”.

Earlier, the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Muhibbah Dan Kaka assured the governor that the commission remain focused on promoting an equitable distribution of positions across all states.

She confirmed that Bauchi’s interest like any other would be taken care off as the Commission carries out its responsibilities to ensure justice in line with it’s mandate.
