Governor Radda delegates Special Adviser on Chieftaincy Affairs to represent him at Northern Traditional Rulers’ Council meeting in Kebbi

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, was ably represented by his Special Adviser on Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Usman Abba Jaye, at the 2025 General Assembly of the Northern Traditional Rulers’ Council (NTRC) held in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State .
The meeting, themed “Strengthening Community Collaboration for Lasting Peace and Security in Northern Nigeria,” brought together traditional rulers, government representatives, and community leaders from across the northern region to deliberate on ways of addressing insecurity and promoting unity at the grassroots.
The conference was chaired by the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, and declared open by the Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris, with the Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar, serving as host.
Prominent royal fathers in attendance included the Shehu of Borno, Etsu Nupe, Mai Bade, Emir of Fika, and the Waziri of Katsina, Senator Ibrahim Ida who represented the Emir of Katsina, along with several other revered traditional leaders from across the North.
Speaking after the meeting, Usman Abba Jaye described the gathering as timely and impactful, noting that it provided an important platform for traditional rulers and government officials to exchange ideas and strengthen collaboration in tackling security and development challenges.
He emphasized that Governor Radda remains committed to deepening partnerships with traditional institutions, recognizing their vital role in promoting peace, unity, and community engagement across Katsina State and beyond.
The Kebbi 2025 General Assembly is expected to produce far-reaching resolutions aimed at enhancing cooperation between government and traditional leaders to sustain peace and stability across Northern Nigeria.
