Governor Radda meets Funtua stakeholders, inspects Mobile Police Force Squadron

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Sunday met with stakeholders from Funtua Local Government Area.

The engagement follows the Governor’s recent two-day working visit to the Funtua zone as part of his ongoing tour of the 34 LGAs in the state, during which he interacted with various communities. The stakeholders expressed deep appreciation for the visit and commended the Governor’s commitment to inclusive and people-centered governance.

Speaking on behalf of the stakeholders, several community leaders thanked Governor Radda for the developmental projects recorded in Funtua, particularly in agriculture, education, social welfare, infrastructure, and human capital development.

They noted that the people of Funtua value his dedication and will not forget the positive impact of his policies.

The stakeholders—comprising Imams, business leaders, traditional rulers, party executives, and other notable personalities—also commended the establishment of the Federal University of Health Sciences and Technology in the area, describing it as a transformative milestone for the entire zone.

In his remarks, Governor Radda expressed gratitude for the consistent support of the people of Funtua, stating:

“I do not have enough words to fully express my gratitude to the people of Funtua. Whatever we are able to achieve in Katsina State is not by our strength, but by the will of Allah and the prayers of the good citizens of our state.”

He also revealed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the upgrade of Funtua General Hospital to a Federal Teaching Hospital and has appointed a Chief Medical Director for the new facility—another significant achievement for the zone.

Governor Radda further praised the unity among Funtua’s religious, community, and political leaders, noting that such cooperation is essential for sustainable development.

In a related development, the Governor visited the Funtua Mobile Police Force Squadron, where Senator Muntari Mohammed Dandutse donated 10 motorcycles and 3 Hilux vehicles to strengthen security operations, alongside ongoing culvert and drainage works within the squadron premises. The Governor acknowledged and appreciated the Senator’s gesture.
