Governor Sule submits 17 commissioner nominees to Nasarawa Assembly for approval

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has submitted 17 commissioner nominees to the state House of Assembly for consideration and approval as members of the state executive council.
The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, announced this during an emergency sitting held at the assembly complex in Lafia on Friday.
He said “they are Aishatu Rufai Ibrahim -Awe LGA, Umar Abubakar, Awe LGA, Mr Yakubu Kwanta, Akwanga LGA, Munirat Abdullahi, Doma LGA, Timothy Kasuwa, Karu LGA, Margaret Elayo, Keana LGA, Bala Mulki, Keffi LGA, John Mamman, Kokona LGA.
Others are Barrister Abubakar Imam Zanwa, Lafia LGA, Hon Aliyu Ahmed Tijjani, Nasarawa LGA, Har inuna Musa, Nassarawa Eggon LGA, Muhammed Eyimoga, Obi LGA, Barrister Labaran Magaji, Toto LGA, Dr Gaza Gwamna, Toto LGA, Mu’azu Gosho, Wamba LGA, Samuel Kafu Emgba Lafia LGA and Ja’afaru Ango, Karu LGA.
According to the speaker, the commissioner nominees were chosen based on their qualifications, integrity, prudence, and depth of experience.
He, therefore directed the nominees to submit 30 copies of their Curriculum Vitae (CV) on or before Monday, July 31st, 2023 and appear for screening on Tuesday August 1st, 2023.
In a related development, the House of Assembly also received a request from Governor Sule for the approval to appoint 20 Special Advisers.
During the emergency sitting on Friday, the speaker read the letter for the special advisers’ approval on the floor of the house and urged members to deliberate on the matter.
Members therefore deliberated on the matter and unanimously approved the request of the governor to enable him implement his administration’s policies and programmes.
The Speaker reassured that the assembly was prepared to work effectively with the executive arm of government in order to ensure that the state continues to grow and develop.
Recall that Governor Sule had last week approved the appointment of Nine additional Senior Special Assistants to help in driving the vision of his administration.
They are; Mrs Patricia Isakpa, (Kokona LGA), Mohammed Yahaya Dauro, (Lafia LGA), Dan’asabe Musa, (Akwanga LGA), Usman Aliyu Lukumbugu, (Lafia LGA), Hajiya Fati Ahmed, (Toto LGA), Ebu Onyawoye Beauty, (Doma LGA), Victoria Bako, (Doma LGA), Alh. Rilwanu Pilo, (Doma LGA), Shuaibu Dahiru Zanwa, (Lafia LGA).
