The Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Zulum has received the Northern Governors Wives Forum (NGWF) including Adamawa State First Lady, Hajiya Lami Fintiri on a courtesy call at the Government House, Maiduguri.
Hajiya Zulum in her address stated that the forum is in Maiduguri for its annual quarterly meeting.
The wife of Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Zainab Bagudu appreciated his Excellency over his efforts towards restoration of peace and development in the state.

She also stated that the forum went to some IDP camps and distributed materials to women and children in addition to lectures delivered on issues such as cancer, drug abuse among others.
Prof. Zulum, in his remarks, stated that the Governors Forum will support the NGWF in promoting girl-child education, women development and maternal health among others.
He also called on them to use their ability as a forum to provide sustainable solutions towards street roaming of children, action against gender-based violence within the ambit of the law.
Afterwards, the Forum held its meeting in the First Lady’s office behind closed doors which was its primary objective of the congregation.
