A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) called the Nurture The Children International (NCI) has concluded plans to visit the Internally Displaced Children at the camps in Plateau State.

Speaking during a press briefing to unveil the activities of the programme tagged: “IDP Brush Up” coming up on December, 19th, 2022, the founder of the organization, Ms. Felicia Joel Pwol stated that the programme is aimed at showing love to the children especially in the festive period.

“We cannot fold our arms and see our children degenerate and suffer at the camps. So we need to visit them during this festive season by showing love that they deserve.”

She revealed that the organization also known as Foundation for Balanced Meal A Day For Children (FBMADFC) is giving so much to the mental and physical support of children in the United Kingdom adding that as a Nigerian, she has decided to give back to the children in the IDP camps and poorest areas in the country.

Pwol, who disclosed that the organization is operating in Plateau and Akwa Ibom States, added that in subsequent times, other states will also be reached.

The founder noted that the organization has embarked on many humanitarian projects in the past ten years, which include the delivery of food banks to help poor children with food; clean water for schools; giving one boiled egg per pupil per day; medical outreach and love peace programmes; provision of school sandals and uniforms, including others.

She added that the organization will be offering health services, personal hygiene, foods, drinks, clothes, and other gift items to the children .

Pwol called on the government and Nigerians to always ensure that the safety, security and rights of children are protected.

“We will be better for this, when they become the drivers of society and we the retirees- at their mercy. Their roles in nation-building are crucial and cannot be under-estimated.,” She said

She urged philanthropists and well-meaning Nigerians to collaborate with Nurture the Children International (NTC) by means of donations through its website as the organization has a lot of projects it is embarking on in Nigeria which are aimed at changing the lives of poor children in the society.
