Participants at the training organised by Xploit Consulting and Access Bank
A group, Xploit Consulting Limited has trained some youth in Gwagwalada and Abaji Area councils of the Federal Capital Territory and Karu and Keffi Local Government of Nasarawa state in digital skills acquisition to help them grow their businesses.
The training carried out by Xploits Consulting Limited with support from Access Bank PLC was aimed at impacting the youth with basic and intermediate digital skills such as; computer literacy, internet safety and responsibility, use of microsoft suite, social media marketing, website development, mini importation and affiliate marketing.
In his opening address, the assistant business service manager, Access Bank, Gwagwalada branch Mr. Solomon Iyinoluwa Alao to the 102 beneficiaries in the two FCT selected area called on participants to be attentive because everything is going digital in the world presently and he prayed it will be beneficial to their businesses.
Also addressing participants in Karu, Mr Oluwatobi Daniel Ojo, Program Officer Xploits Consulting limited said that digital skills refer to skills related to the use of technology to communicate and thus the training was initiated to address the digital skill gap in Nigeria by training young people on basic and intermediate skills to make them employable and also to enable them run their businesses in our ever evolving and technological demanding world.
In his remark, the Etsu Karu, Dr. Luka Panya Baba appreciated Access Bank PLC for the opportunity given to the youths while also stating that with the current pandemic the world has gone digital and called on the participants to embrace the change.
The Chairman, Karu youth council Comrade Danladi called on the youths to build up on what they have been taught and apply it to their businesses.
The youths were trained on computer literacy, internet safety and responsibility, use of microsoft office suite, social media marketing, website development, mini importation and affiliate marketing.
Participants expressed their appreciation to Access Bank and Xploits Consulting Limited for making it possible for them to access the training.
