Group urges Kaduna Governor Uba Sani to complete Kafanchan Road Projects

The Jama’a Emirate Development Association (JEDA) has called on Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State to prioritise the completion of the Kafanchan Township Roads and the Kafanchan–Kwoi Road, describing them as critical to the economy and daily life of Southern Kaduna.
In a statement signed by its Acting President, Ahmad Usman Husain, the non-political, non-religious organisation expressed deep concern over what it described as the continued neglect of the two projects, which were initiated by the immediate past administration of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.
While commending the governor for awarding several township and inter-local government road projects across the state, JEDA said it was painful and disappointing that the Kafanchan roads were not among them. It reminded Governor Sani that he had promised to complete the projects during his campaign tours, stressing that the delay undermines the trust of residents who gave him massive support during the 2023 elections, many across party lines.
The group described Kafanchan as the commercial and social capital of Southern Kaduna, adding that its road network is essential for businesses, healthcare, education, and regional connectivity. It warned that the poor state of the Kafanchan–Kwoi Road was also hindering integration between Jema’a and Jaba LGAs.
JEDA urged the governor to fulfil his campaign promises, demonstrate fairness in infrastructure distribution, and act swiftly to ensure that the people of Jama’a Emirate are not left behind in his administration’s development plans.
