Gunmen have allegedly invaded Nnobi, Idemili North Local Government Area, close to Nnewi, Anambra State.
Our correspondent gathered that the invasion happened on Monday night, around 8:30pm.
A source said the gunmen who are suspected to be cultists were shooting in the town, moving from one location to another.
Meanwhile, a Facebook user, Mazi Maxi Ifedinma in a post confirmed that same gunmen had gunned down two people close to Roban Stores, Nnewi.
He said: “The corpse of the dead persons are still lying there now,” in a comment he dropped under his post at 9pm.
Attempt to reach the State Police Command’s Spokesperson, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga for confirmation did not yield fruit as his telephone number was not reachable.
