Hardship: 300 vulnerable, poor households receive food items, cash gifts in Gombe

No fewer than 300 households mostly poor and vulnerable residents in the GRA in Gombe have received Food stuffs and a sum of N10,000 each to cushion the effect of hardship in the country.

The items and money were distributed by a Gombe based businessman and CEO of the renowned construction company, ‘Tinka Point Nig Limited’ Dr. Bala Bello popularly known as Tina.

He also included his immediate neighbours and those of his family house at Makera in the Gombe metropolis in the distribution exercise in order to ameliorate the current economic situation in the country which has forced many people to resort to various means of survival.

At the flag off of the distribution, not fewer than 300 persons in the two areas received the donation made up of one carton of spaghetti noodles and a cash of N10,000 to each of the beneficiaries.

Speaking on the exercise, Bala Bello Tinka explained that the gesture was part of his contribution to assist the needy in the areas in this period of economic hardship.

He lamented that inflation in the prices of foodstuffs are worrisome hence he decided to distribute the food items and the token sum of money to the beneficiaries.

He also pledged the replication of the gesture during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan to ensure that Muslims go through the 30 fasting with ease.

Bala Bello Tinka who is a stalwart of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Gombe State is known for this kind of gesture especially during the periods of high demands and hardship.

He appealed to the people to continue to pray for Allah’s divine intervention in the situation the country found itself in expressing confidence that things will get back to normal very soon.

Some of the beneficiaries commended the gesture saying that it will go a long way in reducing tension in their various households and called on other well to do individuals to do same in their respective communities.
