Heeba Foundation distributes meals to Borno flood victims
The Founder and Coordinator Heeba Foundation, Barrister Fatima Binta Abdu, has provide hot meals to large number of people displaced by flood victims in Maiduguri, Borno state capital and it’s environs.
The Founder has called on well-meaning Nigerians, philanthropists, corporate organizations and international donor organizations to support flood victims in Maiduguri of Borno State.
Barrister Fatima disclosed this to journalists in Maiduguri of Borno state after delivering food and non-food support to flood victims.
According to her, the items donated to the flood victims included nets, bread, pure water, salt, groundnut oil and other to care for the immediate needs of affected citizens.
The Heeba Foundation is an NGO dedicated to the service of humanity. We have been supporting women, children, orphans, widows and including all individuals affected by war or conflict including natural disasters like this recent floods in Maiduguri.
“We are cooking hot meals and we distributed the initiative will be a continuous effort to ameliorate the suffering of people affected by flood and also to support the return process of post flood,” she said.
The organization also concerned with the support of people in distress especially women and children, including men who are displaced as a result of war or civil conflict and now natural disaster.
She added that, “I want to use this opportunity to inform you that, we are now going to be cooking one (1) meal per day and distribute in the camps in Mairiga ward, Jere local government in the state.”
The Heeba Foundation is providing emergency food assistance to communities affected by massive flooding that has displaced hundreds of people in Maiduguri of Borno state.
Fatima assured that Heeba Foundation is also to provide hot meals to people of the worst affected children, women, and men who have lost their homes in what has been described as the worst flooding in northeast region.
