Heirs holdings strengthens board with appointment of Ufudo

Heirs Holdings, a leading African investment company, has appointed Obinna Ufudo as a Non-Executive Director.
The company announced the appointment in a statement, noting that Ufudo brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across banking, investment, energy, corporate governance, and global markets.
According to Heirs Holdings, Ufudo previously served as an executive director and chief operating officer within the group. He also served as President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria (Transcorp), where he led a successful corporate turnaround and oversaw the landmark acquisition of the Ughelli Power Plant.
Beyond his corporate leadership roles, Ufudo is the founder and chairman of Atiat Leasing Limited, as well as the co-founder and chairman of LoanBook Limited.
His academic background includes advanced executive and postgraduate qualifications from top global institutions. He is an alumnus of the Wharton School’s Advanced Management Program (AMP), holds a Master’s degree from the University of Reading as a Chevening Scholar, and earned an Executive MBA from IESE Business School. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
Commenting on the appointment, Chairman of Heirs Holdings, Tony Elumelu, said Ufudo’s depth of experience and proven track record would further strengthen the company’s leadership and support its pan-African proprietary investment strategy.
