Bishop Yohanna in an interview with Apex News Exclusive in Jalingo, called on members of the church to disregard a group of few individuals in their midst who are busy going about causing confusion in the house of God.
According to him, “we have only one united Methodist in Nigeria under my leadership and their actions should consider by all peace loving united Methodist and friends of UMC to be rebellious, disobedience and capable of causing disaffection in the conferences, state and the country at large.”
He said as believer of Christ, the church will continue to witness peace as one united family and urge all and sundry to bury their differences as Lenten session is being observed.
Speaking on postponed general conference scheduled to hold August 26th to September 6th 2022 in USA, the residence bishop advance reasons to ongoing Covid – 19 pandemic which he said has cost restraints to international travels.
Another setback, the bishop added was government policies in regards to visa/international passport availability and insurance.
He therefore enjoined Methodist faithful to continue to pray for the church as the general conference commission has slated the year 2024 for the conference.
