Engineer Yakubu Danlad-Salihu being sworn in as Speaker

Thirty-eight-year-old Engineer Yakubu Danlad-Salihu was unanimously reelected as the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly.
Engineer Salihu was reelected following a motion for his nomination as Speaker by Member representing Kaiama-Kemaji-Wajibe Constituency, Abdullahi Halidu Danbaba and seconded by Fatimah Arinola Lawal representing Ilorin-East
Similarly, Emmanuel Ojo Oyebode of Oke-Ogun Constituency also elected as Deputy Speaker of House unopposed.
The inauguration of the 10th Assembly was supretended by the Clerk of the House, Hajia Hameedah Jummai Kperogi.
The 10th Legislature of Kwara State House of Assembly was inaugurated amidst mammoth crowd in Ilorin, following issuance of a Proclamation by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in compliance with section 105 subsection 3 of the Constitution as amended.
