Hope as 4 blind undergraduates get N400, 000 uplifting lifeline
By Yakubu Ahmed-BK (Maibindiga)
A donor who does not want his named mentioned has come to the rescue of Kebbi’s four blind undergraduate students who have secured admissions to various Universities and Polytechnics but who risk dropping out due to lack of funds to register and buy critical tools.
We reported on this platform yesterday the precarious financial status of the four physically challenged students. They are Nasiru Buhari, a political science student of the Sokoto state University; Masa’ud Abubakar, a Mass Communication student of the Kaduna Polytechnic and Garba Musa and Halima Musa Dantani – all of them Shari’a and Civil Law undergrads of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi.

Few hours after the news of their predicament was posted, the concerned citizen got across to this reporter and promptly sent in N100,000 for each of the four, with clear instructions that his identity be covered.
The N400,000 was shared to the four students by Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed-BK (Maibindiga) in the presence of the Chairman and Secretary of the Kebbi state chapter of the Nigeria Association of the Blind Malam Nura Sa’adu and Malam Haliru Makaho respectively. All the students except Masa’d Abubakar were personally present. Masa’ud’s N100,000 was collected on his behalf by Haliru Makaho.
Please join me to pray for Allah’s blessings, protection and guidance for this anonymous donor. Allah ya biyashi da alkhairi.
