How notorious gang drugged, raps teenager to coma in Benue

A gang of five young boys including a girl allegedly kidnapped a teenager, raped her to coma and threatened to murder her in a sleepy community of Abinsi in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
The said girl is in Senior Secondary School 3 (SSS3) of Life Covenant Christian School Abinsi.
The father of the girl is from one of the states in eastern Nigeria is a technician who specializes in the repair of electric generators.
Narrating the incident, the father of the girl said when he returned from work on Friday, 29th December, 2022 at about 6pm, he couldn’t find his daughter at home thinking she might have visited some friends but as it was getting late, he reported to the Police and the vigilante very close my residence.
He said the vigilante took up the matter until on 2nd January, 2023, when they informed him that they saw the girl with some boys at the Airport about ten kilometers to Makurdi, the state capital, where she was allegedly kidnapped.
According to him, when asked her where she coming from she claimed she was hypnotized by a boy, came home only to return to the boy whom she said drugged her juice and four boys rapped her to coma until 2nd January, 2023.
The father said that, the vigilantes who got a tip and went to the Airport and met her stranded after five days in their room.
The vigilante said complained of abdominal pains and was rushed to the government hospital in Abinsi and pregnancy, HIV/AIDS and other tests were conducted.
When asked the next line of action, the father of the girl said he is not taking any action
When contacted, a member of the vigilantes who spoke under anonymity said though they took up the case and were able to arrest the boys but when was generating tension they handed over the case to the Police.
The Police declined comments on the matter as they are not allowed to talk to the press.
