Humanitarian Affairs ministry trains Bauchi NOA officers on GEEP 2.0

Officers of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Bauchi State have received training to sensitise rural dwellers and Vulnerable to benefit from the ongoing Government Enterprise Empowerment Programme (GEEP) 2.0.

Declaring the training open on Saturday at Federal Secretariat Bauchi, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Sadiya Umar Farouq said the trainees are meant to register and enlighten the target beneficiaries to accept the GEEP loans.

Represented by Hajia Aisha Gidado, the Minister said the programme is intended to target the less privileged with special consideration to widows, divorcees, Orphans our of school Children and agric farmers in rural areas.

According to her, the Master trainers who were trained on the 6th and 7th August 2021 at Abuja are expected to train Community Reorientation and mobilusation officers of NOA for effective implementation of the programme.
Earlier in his welcome address, State Director of National Orientation Agency (NOA) Nuru Yusuf Kobi said their members are trained to talk with various Languages spoken in the various communities across the state.

He said they should convince the target beneficiaries to maximise the opportunity as the loan is interest free and without any form of collatoral.

Some of the trainees, Kingsely Agada representing Misau Local Government Area and Hassan D. Limin for Alkaleri Local government area who spoke to Apex News Exclusive said they are ready to assist the beneficiaries of their area to maximise the opportunity.
