The Kaduna State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Comrade Yunana Markus Barde, has lauded Governor Uba Sani for what he described as “giant strides” in the development of the state, particularly in the areas of agriculture, infrastructure, education, health, security, and the welfare of pensioners.

Comrade Barde made the commendation while speaking to journalists in Kafanchan shortly after participating in the annual Sallah Durbar hosted by the Emir of Jama’a, Alhaji Dr. Muhammad Isa Muhammad.

The Commissioner noted that the current administration has shown a strong commitment to improving the lives of the people of Kaduna State, especially in the southern part of the state, where various developmental projects are ongoing.

“We are witnessing tangible improvements across several sectors—agriculture is being revitalized, infrastructure is expanding, security is being strengthened, and the government has shown deep concern for the welfare of both workers and pensioners,” Barde said.

He added that Governor Uba Sani’s inclusive approach to governance is fostering unity and progress across the 23 local government areas of the state.

Comrade Barde also used the occasion to appreciate the Emir of Jama’a for preserving cultural heritage and fostering peace among diverse communities in the emirate. He emphasized the role of traditional institutions in promoting harmonious coexistence, especially during festive periods like the Sallah celebration.

The Sallah Durbar in Kafanchan attracted a large turnout of residents, traditional title holders, and government officials, and was marked by colorful horse riding, traditional music, and prayers for peace and prosperity in the state.
