Senator Al-makura cast his vote in Saturday’s election

Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) for a smooth exercise as he voted within minutes.
He made the statement after he cast his vote at PU 004, Kofar Wambai Ward, Lafia Local Government of Nasarawa State on Saturday.
According to him, “I am highly impressed with the conduct of the election exercise today. I commend the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) for the smooth conduct of the 2023 presidential, senatorial and House of Assembly elections.
“That has helped in making the exercise very peaceful, simple and transparent. I am impressed were the me more is speed of the process at the polling unit. At the polls, you present your card, within two minutes you are done.” He said.
Senator Al-Maruka is the Senator representing Nasarawa South senatorial district at the national assembly said this election will go down in history as one of the most organized elections.
He said that along the way to his polling unit, he observed voters at other polling units waiting in order manner, which was due to the awareness adopted by the stakeholders.
The Senator said, “As a signatory to the peace accord by leaders of political parties, I am faithful and committed to the accord, I am calling on my supporters to abide strictly by the peace accord.”
