Dr. Salihu Alizaga

The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Land and Survey, Dr. Salihu Alizaga, who was suspended by the
leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nassarawa Eggon Local Government, has vowed not to comply with the suspension.
The party leadership in the local government had on Thursday suspended the commissioner for allegedly running a parallel exco of the party in the area.
Alizaga, while reacting to the suspension in an interview with Apex News Exclusive on Tuesday, said he has never be given opportunity or fair hearing to explain why he held a parallel meeting with other stakeholders in their local government area of the state.
While affirming his stand, he vowed that he would never comply with the suspension, maintaining that the process followed by the APC leadership in Eggon local government area was done in hasty manner and contravene article 20 of the APC constitution.
He said: “The crisis rocking APC in Nasarawa Eggon is a political victimization to rubbish his integrity.”
According to him, he is representing governor Abdullahi Sule at his own local government area describing the allegation leveled against him as complete force aiming to destroyed his political career.
“I have been denied my political right alongside the political appointees of the governor to attend a stakeholders meeting called by, Mr. Malle Moses, the Chairman, Caretaker Committee in the local government area of the state,” he lamented.
He continued: “I was already be aware four days earlier before the petition. They accused me of insubordination. I am the leader of the party at my own zone, so they don’t have the power to suspend me.”
He insisted that he was the one to call for a stakeholders meeting in the local government area of the state and the Chairman, Caretaker Committee, noting that the action displaced by the chairman was aimed to ambush him.
He, however, declared that consensus was not even an option or method to select a candidate against the people choice, affirming that he has the political right to disagree with their candidate.
