Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has assured Christian community of been patriotic in his administration even as he said his style of leadership will embraced one another in respect of differences.
Governor Yahaya was speaking at the weekend when Christians community through Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) paid him Christmas and new year homage at government house chamber in Gombe.
He said he will never relent in supporting Christian community due to oath of office he took in 2019 as a Muslim transparency will be the subject of his administration.
Governor Yahaya also assured them that his administration is committed to construct roads within southern part of the state which was neglected by the past government.
He said the Balanga road project which has been difficult terrain before the coming of this administration is having a new face.
It is necessary to have a standard road that will link Balanga/Talasse through Deba where citizens of that area will have easy movement as part of the dividend of democracy, he said.
Also another road will constructed within Malala axis for the same benefit.
He said since assumption in office, his priority is to ensure that communities who are left behind to enjoy social amenities like power, water, health facilities, roads and quality education.
He looked at the visit organized by Christian Association of Nigeria as a welcome development where he approved the sum of N25million to CAN center and N10million for Christmas and new year gift.
While appreciating for the visit, governor Yahaya announced that his government has also sponsored 70 intended pilgrims to the Holy land in Israel.
On his part, chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria in Gombe State chapter Rev. Sunday Congo who was represented by the caretaker secretary of the association Apostle John Adetiba told the governor that the visit was aimed at showing respect to whom he deserved for good quality of work have been performing in the state.
He appreciated the governor for giving them audience during the visit and wish him God guardian in his programme.
Rev. Adetiba thank governor Yahaya for the donation he rendered to the association saying Christian community in the state will continue to support his administration.
