I’ll change Taraba’s narrative if elected Governor, says NNPP candidate, Professor Yahaya

The governorship candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Taraba State, Prof. Muhammed Sani Yahaya has declared that if elected governor in 2023, his administration will change the narrative of the 31-year-old state.
Prof. Yahaya who started this during an interactive season with newsmen shortly after flagging off his campaign rally in his country- homeof Mutum Biyu in Gassol Local Government Area of the state decried present state of Taraba as pathetic.
He disclosed that 31years after creation, the state remained a glorified local government ranging from lack of infrastructures, food and unemployment, dilapidated health care facilities, educational backwardness, insecurity, delay payment of salaries as well as non-payment of pension and gratituties of retired state workers among other legion of maladministration.
According to Prof. Yahaya, his intention to venture into polities was to salvage the suffering people from object poverty and bring smiles on the faces of millions of Tarabans who are not sure of their next square meal in the state.

“I didn’t venture into polities by accident nor do intentions to make wealth but to help the people of Taraba come out from the present suffering”, he said.
The governorship hopeful who was a one-time vice chancellor Taraba State University (TSU) Jalingo noted his blue print which has been unveiled during the flag- off campaign has clearly showed the road map of his administration, pointing out that prosperity of the state will definitely take center stage as soon as he get into Government House come May 29, 2023.
While appreciating party supporters, state and national assemble candidates for collective resolved and unity, Prof. Yahaya said the party remain the hope for Tarabans.
Speaking on major challenges expected during campaign in the state, the former vice chancellor maintained that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) remains an umpire that will ensure votes counts during elections.
He also emphasized on the need for people to vote parties and credible candidates of their choice, tested and trusted to occupy public positions devoid of corruption and other forms of irregularities during elections.
On the need to be law abiding during electioneering period, Prof. Sani Yahaha urged his party supporters and Tarabans to ensure casting their votes appropriately and not to sale them but to shun all forms of thugry and violence during, before and after elections.
Meanwhile, highlights of the flag-off campaign were the unveiling of his running mate Rev. Dr. Danladi Balutu, National assembly candidates and Hon. Stephen B. Othaniel of Karim I constituency with other state assembly party candidates.
