Palpable anxiety at the Adamawa State office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) may fuel tension as officials of the commission barred journalists from access to the collation centre on Saturday.
Journalists already accredited in the build- up to the presidential and governorship election were shocked when they were turned back by stern-looking policemen who said they were given orders from above not to allow any journalist from having access to the collation centre.
Protests by the governorship campaign office of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which vowed to resist any attempt to undermine or doctor the governorship results.
