Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi suffered one of the huge defeats losing to Rivers United FC by 3-0 in the on going Nigeria Professional Football League 21/22 Season Match day 12 played at Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Saturday . From the start of the game it looked good for Wikki Tourists FC as the players pressurized the home team with lots of attacks but poor finishing denied them of early goals. Until in the 38' minutes when there was a goal mouth scramble and the referee awarded a penalty to Rivers FC which the Wikki players protested against and it was later played by Duru who converted it to goal ending the first half on that piece. On resumption into the second half, Substitutions were effected by both Coaches to solidify their teams but it was Rivers United FC that got its second goal through Akuneto in the 54minutes capitalizing on a defensive error by the backline of the visitors. Two Minutes later, in the 56 minutes of the match, Uche registered the third goal for Rivers United FC confirming the 3-0 win. In the post match interview, the Technical Adviser of Wikki Tourists FC, Kabiru Dogo said that, "Everything was in Rivers United FC advantage today, and that is part of the game, you loose some today and win some tomorrow" . The gaffer added that, "Injury has also contributed to our lost because some of my regular players have been down but on the whole the boys have also played to instructions I commend them for that" .
