As youths all over the world celebrate the International Youth Day 2022, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for the 2023 governorship election in Taraba State, Hon. Danladi Baido has felicitated with the vibrant youths on the special occasion.
He appreciates the youth for their contribution to the society in every field of endeavour and urged them to maintain the strides and use the day for sober reflection about their future.

According to the governorship hopeful, the faith of the youths should not be toyed with in any society as they formed the bedrock of developmental processes.

He noted that this year’s International Youth Day with the theme “Intergenerational solidarity: Creating a world for all ages” is a wake-up call for them to take charge of their destiny and resilience despite the challenges they face today.

This was contained in a statement by Anthony Maliki, Media Assistant to Hon. Danladi Baido, Taraba State Social Democratic Party (SDP), Governorship Candidate.

The SDP candidate urged Nigerian youths to be shining examples in their sphere of endeavour.
Turning to Taraba State, Hon. Baido said youths’ inclusiveness would be a priority in his administration and they would be considered in all respects.

The governorship hopeful said; the youths in the state have been neglected for too long and they remained in the background in the scheme of things and needed to be empowered in various ways.

He explained that youths can be used in various programmes and policies in their communities to give them a sense of ownership and earn a decent living.

Hon. Baido expressed dismay that over the years, the government of the state has not taken the youths into consideration and would correct the anomaly given the opportunity.
The SDP governorship candidate urged the youths to shun cultism, robbery, thuggery, drug abuse, prostitution among others, embrace peace in order to be better citizens.

On the forthcoming elections, Hon. Baido urged youths in the state to shun being used to rig election for politicians who would later ultimately dumped them.
