It’ll Take 10 Years To Recover From Insecurity In S/East-Rev. Nwachukwu

The General Overseer of Bible Base and Miracle Assembly, Rev. Jerry Nwachukwu, has decried the alarming insecurity in South East, stressing that the zone would not recover from the set back it has suffered due to the insecurity for the next ten years.

Rev.Nwachukwu spoke Saturday during a prayer session at Asaba branch of the church to usher in the month of October.

He lamented that the South East zone environment is no more conducive for investment, saying that no serious investor would decide to come down to the zone to invest.

He said important personalities in the zone has relocated out of the zone to Asaba, Delta State, Lagos, and Abuja due to the effect of insecurity.

The cleric said most of the investments like shopping malls,real estate developments, offices which ordinarily would have sprung up in Anambra were being relocated to Asaba.

He.said if there was peace in Anambra State Onitsha by now would have joined Awka from Umunya as one city.

“People are migrating from South East to other places.Imo State is empty.You cannot go to Nsukka and Benue State.They would kidnap you at Ugwuogwo Nike”‘ said Rev.Nwachukwu.

He was however optimistic that the security challenge in the zone be overcome but challenged political leaders and stakeholders to sincerely wake up to the challenge and address it.
