Jagaban disciplines advocate for Comrade Adegoke as Minister of Youths Development

The Disciples of Jagaban (DOJ), Bauchi State Coordinator, Hon Danjuma Hussaini Sulaiman has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider Comrade Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje for a crucial role in his administration. 

The call was made through a press statement by the Coordinator and made available to journalists in Bauchi on Friday. 

According to him, the journey of the Disciples of Jagaban (DOJ) since 2019 has been one of unwavering dedication and tireless effort, with Comrade Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje at the forefront. 

He said that, “As we reflect on the remarkable campaign activities that brought Nigerians from all walks of life together to support President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, it becomes evident that Comrade Alawuje’s leadership, commitment, and understanding of the nation’s dynamics makes him an ideal candidate for the role of Minister of Youth Development.”

The Coordinator added that, “Comrade Alawuje’s leadership within the DOJ which is the first known support group for Asiwaju has been a testament to his dedication to the cause.” 

He narrated further that the journey that began with rallying Nigerians across the nation’s 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory, has showcased his ability to inspire unity and collaboration among diverse groups.

“Having traveled the entire nation, Comrade Alawuje’s exceptional efforts laid the foundation for the emergence of numerous prominent groups in 2020-2021. His proactive engagement and strategic planning set the stage for a movement that extended far beyond political boundaries.”

Retired from military service, Comrade Alawuje’s time spent in the North-West, particularly in Kaduna, granted him a unique perspective on thevpolitical ideologies of the Northerners.

He also stated that,”Simultaneously, his upbringing in the Southern Nigerian city of Ibadan has enabled him to grasp the aspirations and concerns of the Southern Nigerian youths.” 

“The collaboration between DOJ and other groups from different regions, such as Bauchi, solidified his standing as a unifying figure. With a well-structured presence in the 19 Northern states, Comrade Alawuje became a central point of reference for the cause,” he added.

According to him, a pivotal moment arose when he was asked if he truly knew President Tinubu. His response reflected his determination: though not personally known to President Tinubu, he was committed to hard work and continuous dedication to eventually gain recognition for his efforts a relentless spirit led him to join forces with the campaign, effectively becoming a key driving force behind its success.

Danjuma Suleiman stressed that, “Despite being predominantly composed of ordinary Nigerians, including retired military personnel, lecturers, and engineers, DOJ gained credibility under Comrade Alawuje’s leadership. His ability to assemble and engage retired generals further demonstrated his capacity to command respect and trust across all levels of society.”

The Coordinator said that, Challenges arose as doubts emerged regarding financial support but Comrade Alawuje’s steadfast dedication led him to use his personal resources to fund the campaign. 

According to him, a meeting held at Tinubu campaign office Wuse Zone 2 cleared allegations of external funding, highlighting his personal commitment to the cause.

Even during the primary period, where he led teams in Oyo, Bauchi, and Adamawa states, Comrade Alawuje’s dedication remained unwavering as his tireless work ethic and hands-on approach left an indelible mark.

“As the DOJ Bauchi State Chapter, on behalf of the entire North-Eastern states, we stand united to speak on his behalf. We implore President Tinubu to recognize Comrade Alawuje’s invaluable contribution and dedication to the cause.

His journey from the grassroots, his personal sacrifices, and his ability to unify diverse groups highlight his capacity to lead the youth development agenda,”he added.

He concluded stating that,”We firmly believe that appointing Comrade Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje as Minister of Youth Development will not only reward his hard work but will also harness his potential to drive impactful change. This appointment would send a strong message of merit and capability, inspiring other support groups to believe in the power of dedication and perseverance.”
