Mr. Peter Tanko
An aspirant for the seat of Chairman, Jema’a Local Government Council in the forthcoming local government election in Kaduna State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Honourable Peter Tanko has promised to provide quality and good leadership to the people of the area if given the mandate.
Peter stated this during the weekend in Kafanchan the Headquarter of Jema’a Local Government, while speaking to newsmen concerning what informed his decision to aspire for the seat.
The aspirant stressed the need for the Local Government to get a good leader that is ready to serve the people by adding more to what the past leadership has achieved, against which backdrop he is assuring the people that he is that leader that has resolved to do everything within his power to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people right at their doorsteps.
He observed that the people of Jema’a Local Government are facing challenges, promising that the challenges of the people will become his challenges when elected, that was why he was prepared to provide quality leadership to the people so that he ensure the challenges are summounted.
Peter Tanko said it was high time for the people to enjoy, and he is prepared to give them that enjoyment the deserve through good governance, by a God fearing leader with integrity.
He said, “I want to establish a covenant with the people of Jema’a Local Government, to give them the best according to their yearnings and aspirations, through running an open door policy that would involve all irrespective of any difference”.
Honourable Peter assured the people of his agenda of taking the local government to greater heights through securing the area for the total safely of lives and properties, new policies in educational development, Improvement of good and quality Health delivery, agriculture development, in addition to youth and women empowerment.
He said he is going to use his wealth of knowledge and experience in bringing the dawn of a new era to move the area forward with new and positive innovations geared towards bringing normalcy, lasting peace and meaningful development to Jema’a Local Government.
The aspirant appreciated all the people of the area for their mutual respect and understanding among all, which has culminated into peaceful coexistence, and admonished them to continue to live in peace, obey the rules of law and all constituted authorities which without, there would not be any meaningful development.
