The community in Haske quarters, a notorious crime area are crying over the suspected kidnapp of Dr. Dan Ella, a theatre arts lecturer with the University of Jos, Plateau State.
He was said to have been picked up by gunmen in the early hours of Wednesday, residents confirmed.
The community which is housing lecturers of the university of Jos as well as medical doctors of the Jos university Teaching Hospital, JUTH has been experiencing this ugly development for some time now, one Mrs. Saratu Gideon said.
Though the state police command is yet to confirmed this, it was gathered that the quarters was where a woman and her husband were abducted a few weeks back.
Haske quarters, behind Stanel Oil, is the same community where gunmen last month kidnapped a Professor and her husband and later released them after allegedly collecting ransom.
The Chairman of ASUU in the University Dr Lazarus Maigoro also confirmed the abduction of the lecturer.saying “It’s true because I just received an official report on the kidnap of one of our members in Lamingo Area last night.
While lamenting the situation, he stressed that “Something has to be done about this kidnapping of innocent people because it’s really sad and should not be allowed to continue.”
