Jukun spiritual leader, Aku Uka calls for restraint in planned nationwide protest

The Taraba state council chairman of Traditional Rulers, His Majesty, the Aku Uka, Dr. Ishaku Adda Ali Matakhitswen, after a crucial meeting at his palace, has called on Tarabans to exercise restraint from the planned nationwide protest.
This came out after a high-level gathering brought together key stakeholders, including the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Dauda Sama’ila Agbu, Wukari LG Security Chiefs, Kingmakers, Council of Advisers, District, Village, and Ward Heads, Religious Leaders, Youth and Women Leaders, civil society representatives, and rights groups.
In a statement signed by the Special Assistant on media to Aku Uka, Jolly Agbu Masa-ibi said the elements of last EndSars protest Wulari and Taraba has not recovered from and will not advise for another.
The statement noted that, “the meeting’s primary objective was to discuss and provide feedback on the policies and programs of the state government under the leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, the Executive Governor of Taraba State”.
According to Aku Uka, After in-depth discussions, which will be communicated to the governor, His Majesty addressed the public, urging them to refrain from participating in the upcoming planned protest.
“He pointed out that Wukari and Taraba State have not yet fully recovered from the previous #EndSARS protests.”
“His Majesty stressed that the governor is committed to the state’s development and has concrete plans for its improvement”.
His Majesty therefore appealed for the restraint and cooperation highlights his dedication to the stability and progress of Wukari and Taraba State.
