Kaduna Reps Member awards scholarship to 220 students

The Hon. Member representing Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Gabriel Sale Har, has offered scholarships to 220 students to his constituents to study in various tertiary Institutions.
Chairman of the screening Committee, Arch. Ibrahim Kogi told Apex News Exclusive that the decision of the Honorable rep member to offered scholarship to the beneficiaries was part of his campaign promises to augment the suffering of students and to encourage academic excellence in his Constituency.
According to him 220 students who are schooling across the country in different tertiary Institutions have been shortlisted in the first batch, adding more will be captured subsequently.
“Most students cannot afford school fees and food as a result of the economic hardship that grappled the country as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
“Some parents also cannot go to farm or buy fertilizer, we’re aware how some businesses crippled because of the Coronavirus,” Kogi said.
He noted that other programs initiated by the Legislature have been on-going, farmers, women and youths have been empowered while others secured jobs in different parastatals.
“To avert insecurity in the country, as a Legislature he thought it wise to encourage and support his Constituents through education.
Some of the beneficiaries commended the Federal lawmaker for beeming his search light towards them, praying to God to continue to shield him for more dividends of democracy.
