Katsina Governor Radda inaugurates multi-million naira industrial, social empowerment projects in Faskari

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has inaugurated a series of multi-million-naira industrial and social empowerment projects initiated by the Chairman of Faskari Local Government Area, Hon. Surajo Aliyu Daudawa.

The projects are designed to improve livelihoods, boost local businesses, and strengthen economic resilience across the area.

The inauguration ceremony, held Tuesday in Faskari town, drew a large crowd of residents, community leaders, political stakeholders, and beneficiaries who warmly received the Governor and his entourage.

The empowerment programme—funded by the Faskari Local Government Council—targets families, small business owners, and persons living with disabilities. It aims to uplift households, support entrepreneurship, and promote greater self-reliance among the people of Faskari.

The Items distributed included motor cars, motorcycles, tricycles, sewing machines, wheelchairs, hospital maternity beds, bags of cement, and roofing zinc. These materials show the council’s commitment to helping the people, supporting local businesses, and improving community facilities in Faskari.

In his address, Governor Radda praised Hon. Surajo Aliyu Daudawa for demonstrating remarkable leadership, transparency, and commitment to grassroots empowerment.

He emphasized that the administration will continue to support initiatives that uplift citizens, especially in frontline communities like Faskari that have faced security and economic challenges.

“We appreciate the Chairman’s dedication and sincerity,” Governor Radda said. “This intervention will directly impact families, empower youth and women, and improve the social wellbeing of our people. My administration will continue to bring meaningful development that benefits every community.”

The Governor also commended the warm reception accorded to him and his delegation, describing the hospitality as proof of the unity, resilience, and progress of the people of Faskari.

Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of Faskari Local Government Area, Hon. Surajo Aliyu Daudawa, explained that the empowerment programme was initiated to support residents, enhance community development, and complement the efforts of the state government.

He thanked Governor Radda for his continued support to local government councils and reassured the people of Faskari that the ruling APC remains firmly committed to delivering good governance across the state.

The event was attended by key dignitaries, including the Secretary to the Government of the State, Abdullahi Garba Faskari, and the Principal Private Secretary, Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji.

Also present were members of the State Executive Council, the APC State Chairman Alhaji Salisu Jibia Daura, the Deputy Chairman Bala Abu Musawa, the Chairman Gwagware Foundation Yusuf Ali Musawa, along with other government officials, party leaders, and community representatives.
