Governor Radda attended the inaugural meeting of the committee on Wednesday at the Nigeria Governors’ Forum Secretariat in Abuja, chaired by Kwara State Governor and NGF Chairman, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

President Bola Tinubu approved the constitution of the committee following recommendations by the National Economic Council.

The committee comprises eight governors including Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as Chairman, former Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Hon. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu as Vice Chairman, and governors Mai Mala Buni (Yobe), Senator Douye Diri (Bayelsa), Prince Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Peter Mbah (Enugu), Dikko Umaru Radda (Katsina), and Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia (Benue) as members.

Mr. Damilotun Aderemi serves as National Programme Coordinator.

Governor Radda commended President Tinubu for his visionary leadership and for providing the framework to drive inclusive, grassroots-oriented development through the Renewed Hope Ward Development Programme.

“I deeply appreciate Mr. President’s confidence in appointing me to serve on this strategic national platform aimed at delivering sustainable development and improving the quality of life for Nigerians at the ward level,” the governor stated.

He noted that recognition of the Katsina Community Development Programme as a model worthy of national emulation is a testament to his administration’s commitment to participatory governance and community-driven transformation.

Governor Radda reaffirmed Katsina State’s readiness to share its experiences and best practices to strengthen implementation of the programme nationwide.

“Katsina State will continue to align its local initiatives with the national framework to promote inclusive growth and sustainable rural development,” the governor assured.

The Renewed Hope Ward Development Programme is designed to bring federal government interventions closer to communities through structured, ward-level development initiatives focused on infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment.

Governor Radda reiterated his administration’s unwavering support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and pledged active participation in achieving the programme’s objectives.
